TRAINAIR PLUS Readiness Assessment

At the core of the ICAO TRAINAIR PLUS membership process is the audit of a center’s training management procedures and quality manual.

The Readiness Assessment consists of the necessary guidance to be ready for the audit, in addition to an overview of the ICAO TRAINAIR PLUS, its various steps and requirements, and lessons learned. It entails the following:

• An overview of the ICAO TRAINAIR PLUS expectations with regards to a Quality Assurance Management System

• A step-by-step evaluation of an organization’s resources against ICAO TRAINAIR PLUS requirements

• On-site feedback on each requirement, identifying gaps as well as steps to close the gaps between an organization’s policies and procedures and ICAO TRAINAIR PLUS requirements

• A written report of findings and recommendations

TRAINAIR PLUS Training and Development Competency Courses

TAI has a qualified instructor available to deliver the foundational TRAINAIR PLUS training development competency courses:

• The Training Developers Course (TDC) is the core training activity of the ICAO TRAINAIR PLUS It is the main tool to consolidate the implementation of the Programme among Civil Aviation Training Centres (CATCs), through the creation of well-trained professional teams of course developers to work in their CATC Course Development Units (CDU)

• The Training Instructors Course (TIC) will enable participants to methodically prepare and conduct training courses in accordance with ICAO’s instructor competencies and develop the required training strategies for course delivery.

• The TIC will train instructors to deliver STPs based on the TRAINAIR PLUS methodology, as well as conventional courses.
